AAAS-AIT International Symposium on
Special Aquaculture and Aquaponics, China

The Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management Program (AARM) of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) co-organized an International Symposium on Special Aquaculture and Aquaponics, collaborating with the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences (AAAS), and the World Aquaculture Society Asian Pacific Chapter (WAS-APC), on 27 June 2023 in Nanjing, China.
Dr. Krishna R. Salin, Chair of the AARM Program and President of WAS APC delivered a keynote presentation, focusing on the challenges and outlook for sustainability and green growth in aquaculture. The symposium had participants from 15 countries, fostering international collaborations and knowledge sharing in special aquaculture and aquaponics.
On the second day of the Symposium the delegates visited one of the biggest commercial aquaponics facilities in Chuzhou, Lai’an County in Anhui Province of China.
